Other January Happenings

Hannah likes to walk on her knees and gets around that way a lot of the time.

We hiked to Gethsemane.

The snow melted and we enjoyed some rainy days. Mary and David had fun with their umbrellas and rain jackets from Christmas.

Mary made up a jar lid game to play with Dad.

 Hannah moved this chair over to the counter and started rearranging the spice drawer.

First Snow

We had our first snow during the night and woke up to a world of white Wednesday morning. It was beautiful.

The kids were so excited to go outside. Mary had a whole list of things to do in the snow.

After breakfast, they headed out to the backyard.

They made snow angels, built a little snowman, tried sledding with cardboard, threw snowballs, and just sat in the snow taking it all in.

We all went out for a snowy hike after lunch and got to check things out around camp.

Hannah liked playing in the snow too.

We built a snowman in our front yard.

Hannah and David liked to eat the snow.

The kids were pretty excited that we got to use a real carrot for our snowman's nose and made him a little hat and everything.

We packed a path in the backyard so the kids could slide down on cardboard.

Silly Hikers

We went on a hike, and Mary and David decided to stop and ask me to take a picture of them on every stump they could find.

NYE Party

We went back to Visalia for our traditional NYE party. The kids and I painted Christmas ornaments before things got started.

We had a puzzle, dancing games, video games, and snacks, and lots of fun was had by all.

 In the morning, we had time for breakfast and snuggles before hitting the road.
