One Year Old

Look who's one!

David is a happy, adorable little guy.

He loves to be held, but also loves to explore and is an excellent climber.

He's a good eater and has eight teeth.

David is standing on his own for brief periods and can stand up without assistance. He has even taken a couple of steps already.

He loves to play and loves music.

David takes great delight in crawling away in just his diaper while I'm changing his clothes. He loves getting chased.

 Happy first birthday little buddy. We love you.

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Buddies

February 3 was a happy day. The birthday boy was in good spirits.

We had macaroni at the Nickells' house so we could all have birthday dinner together.

Heather and Natalie took David out for a photoshoot in their matching birthday shirts.

Around the House

Daily life at Grandpa and Grandma's is always interesting.

The balloons from the party have been entertaining.

Mary got to play with the little Legos one day while David was sleeping.

She also has been writing notes to Aunt Michelle.

There was a beautiful sunset the other night.

 Mary and David discovered a fun place to play under the sink.

Double Birthday Celebration

We had a birthday celebration for Heather and David on Sunday. Mary helped with the preparations.

It was a big birthday for both of them, so we had lots of decorations to make things fun and festive.

Joshua grilled lamb for dinner. We also had chicken, vegetables, hummus, pita bread, and rice pilaf.

There was some photo booth fun.

After dinner we opened presents; David enjoyed the bows a lot.

It was a lot of fun to celebrate these two special people.
