Thanksgiving

I was pretty disappointed when I ordered youth medium Race Against Hunger shirts for the kids and was given adult smalls instead, but with some quick alterations, they turned out pretty cute.

On Thanksgiving morning, Evan and I ran the Race Against Hunger together. It was a tough 5K, but we made it and had pretty good time too.

The walkers also had a good race.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner together and finished things off with pie on Grandma's glass dessert dishes.

Friday morning, we went Christmas tree hunting.

Mary loved running around the trees with the cousins.

We made it to Modesto in time for lunch and enjoyed some time in the garden afterwards.

Gayle had out a beautiful collection of tea cups for Tea of Good Tidings after dinner.

 Mary went on a walk with the cousins and aunts after dinner. All in all, Thanksgiving involved lots of good celebrating with our families.

Sisters

 

Heather gave Michelle and I mugs for a thankful gift, and I've been enjoying mine multiple times a day.

Holiday Workday

We picked the rest of the ruby red grapefruit yesterday. Evan was particularly devoted to the cause.

Dad, Uncle Craig, and Jonah brought home a Cadillac from Uncle Mark last weekend and the restoration began at once. The work continued yesterday, and Mary got to help with the project.

We had dinner in a pumpkin with some of our fall decorations.

 Mary was excited to eat the little white pumpkin she picked out at the store.

Evening Tea

 I love a good cozy tea on cool fall evenings.

Happy Birthday, Micah

We celebrated Micah's birthday on Sunday. Mom and I got to make his birthday dinner.

 It's hard to believe this great guy is 15!

Modesto

We spent the weekend in Modesto and enjoyed seeing all the things growing in the yard. We also got to see the newly remodeled kitchen at Dave and Gayle's house; it looks great.

The kids loved coloring on the white board.

It was a short, but full visit and nice to see everyone again.

Cruising

Mary got to drive the Gator all by herself for the first time.

 She also got to go with Dad to Exeter to pick up a few things and came home with glittery star stickers. She promptly put them to good use and decided, "I like these stickers, they're sparkly. They're making me sparkly."

Macaroni Team

Joshua makes the macaroni in our family, but he has a great helper.

Front Yard Picnic

We had a picnic in the front yard for lunch, and it was a hit.

Outside Chores

 David and Mary got to help Dad and Mom rake up leaves and grass clippings.

Last Soccer Saturday

 

We made it to the soccer games one last time for the last regular soccer Saturday of the season. Micah got cleared to play with his brace, so all the kids were able to play and it was fun to be there.
