Easter

Christ is risen!

The kids enjoyed an egg hunt between services at church on Easter.

Our pile of Easter baskets grew as Mary added two extra ones for Hannah.

We had brunch for lunch.

We did another little egg hunt with the cousins before Easter dinner on the patio.

 Hannah wore a new dress. It was a full, festive day.

Five Months

Hannah is five months old now and rolling all over the place.

She likes spending time on a blanket rolling around and playing with her feet. She also likes toys more now and will reach for things she wants. She loves to watch what the rest of us are doing.

Hannah likes to hold people's hands and grab fingers.

She can sit in her highchair and enjoys being part of meal times.

She likes getting little tickles on her tummy which makes her smile and laugh little laughs.

 Hannah is a sweetheart and makes you want to give her a little squeeze!

Egg Coloring

We had an egg coloring party at Dad and Mom's house before family dinner. Everyone had fun making beautiful eggs.

Hannah Out and About

Hannah is rolling now and enjoying a little more freedom. She likes spending time in different places around the house, which is exciting for Mary and David who like spending time with her.

 David read her a book one morning while she was hanging out in the hall before breakfast.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a fun time celebrating St. Patrick's Day with corned beef and cabbage and shamrock sugar cookies.

 It was our week to make Sunday dinner, so we stuck loosely with the theme and did meat and potatoes with spotted dog bread and edible decorations.

Double Birthday Bash

I always love getting to celebrate with my birthday buddy, and this year was particularly special since we both had milestone birthdays. Isaac and Heather made a birthday feast for dinner, then we had presents and pie.

Birthday Trip

We headed to the coast Wednesday for a birthday trip, stopping on the way to have breakfast.

Our friends graciously let us stay at their beach house, which was welcoming and relaxing.

After going up and down the stairs a few times, the kids checked out the games in the game closet.

We walked around the Los Osos Oaks Preserve that afternoon.

It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk.

Thursday morning we checked out the beach. It was Hannah's first time, but she didn't seem impressed.

Mary and David liked having their own little table in the kitchen.

Thursday afternoon we walked around Morro Bay and got ice cream and samples of salt water taffy and seafood in the rain. Thankfully, we found a dry place to sit.

Friday was stormy, but we had fun staying cozy and playing games at the house.

The kids got to wear their rain boots in the rain when we went out for a hot treat.

 We returned home Saturday and had breakfast burrito and blackberry galette.

Four Months

Hannah is a big four month old!

She has the greatest smiles.

She can roll from her stomach to her back and from her back to either side. She likes to roll from side to side when she's playing. When she gets disturbed in her sleep, she shakes her head from side to side.

We set her highchair up so she could sit at the table with us and she likes being part of the action.

Hannah discovered her feet and loves to play with her toes.

She also likes chewing on her hands and everything else.

 Hannah is a friendly, happy baby, and we love her!
