Gayle drove up to Oregon with Grandad last week and came to Eugene Thursday. We enjoyed lunch and the afternoon together, then had fish tacos with cabbage salsa for an early birthday dinner since Gayle's birthday was the next day. We finished the day off with strawberry shortcake and whiskey sours. On Friday, Gayle and I drove down to California; not a very exciting way to spend a birthday, but I was glad to have her company on the drive. We had a second birthday dinner that evening at the Taqueria.
