We had a good time celebrating yesterday. Isaac and I made pies (starting Thursday night) and other food.
They were tasty. Some of you may remember the apple pie recipe from Calvin Crest, summer '05, it is a good one. Mmmmm. The Nickells went to Isaac's brother's house to celebrate, while we had dinner here at home then Jaime and I went to Visalia for fireworks.
It was fun to see a big show again, I haven't done that in awhile. I love fireworks; the colors, smells, and noise.
I love summer in general and most summery things make me happy. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Mmmmm... that pie was so good. I think I'll have to have some more after lunch.
man I want a nice home cooked meal....or just anything home cooked really.
