More Water

While Dad and Mom were at the ADA show, Heather and I with the kids took advantage of the some of the perks offered at our hotel, a full breakfast and courtesy shuttle. We went downtown to the aquarium. It was smaller than others we have been to, but had some interesting features.

One of the interesting things about the aquarium was that they had animals that live on land. The kids liked the reptile area.

This tank was interesting too because it was open on top, so I took a picture looking down on the fish.

There was a tiger; four actually, but we only saw one.

This guy had huge antenna!

And there were sharks!

They fed the sharks while we were there, which wasn't as exciting as it sounds, but was still fun to watch.

The last part of the aquarium had jellies, another favorite.

After the aquarium, we walked to Confluence Park where the South Platte and Cherry Creek meet. Heather took the kids down to the water while I called Michelle and watched our stuff.

We had hot dogs from a nearby stand for lunch. We were supposed to meet our shuttle at 2:00pm back at the aquarium and got there about 10 minutes early. But the shuttle didn't arrive until 2:30, it was a long wait. Back at the hotel, we decided to go swimming and had fun relaxing in the pool for a couple hours.

We walked next door to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and it was happy hour so I got a $2 strawberry margarita, oh yeah. After dinner, we returned to our room to relax after our long day and the kids watched Mythbusters.
