Joshua and I finished our summer at camp one week ago today, on Friday, June 3. We packed everything up and drove to my parent's house. That weekend we started renovating the van (more to come on that) and during the week we enjoyed time with the family and worked on organizing our stuff and preparing for our trip. Monday morning we went to a u-pick farm in Kingsburg with the Nickells and picked 61 lbs of peaches, plums, and tomatoes. Then we spent the next couple days canning all the fruit.

| We made two kinds of peach jam, peach syrup, and a lot of jars of canned peaches. |

| We canned the chopped peaches and used the skins to make peach syrup. This isn't even all of them. |
| Day two of canning we made salsa and pasta sauce. |
| We also had a firepit and hobo packs, yum! |
The end result of all that canning: 9 cups of pasta sauce, 6 pints of salsa, 20 1/2 pints of canned peaches, 11 1/2 cups of gingered plum jam, 6 cups of lavender peach jam, 9 cups of earl grey peach jam, 1 1/2 pints of canned plums, and 4 cups of peach syrup. |

Wow. That was a lot of canning. I'm hoping to do my peaches tomorrow.
