Goodbye Shields Family

For the last day of the family reunion, we decided to go out with a bang. We packed up our van then went to Fishcreek Falls, which was close by and beautiful. It was a short and easy walk with a great view and the weather was nice. Me, Mom, Micah, Dad, Heather, Natalie, Evan, Uncle Ray, Isaac, Gryphon, Nathan. Then Heather and I hit the Yampa river again, this time with Laura, Uncle Dave, Matt, Nathan, Mom, and Cheri. We had a great time floating more or less together and it was sunny and warm today which made the trip more enjoyable. Everyone except Mom and Nathan got flipped out of their tubes. We returned to the condo to meet back up with the rest of the family, then said our goodbyes, got lunch, and hit the road. We had an uneventful drive to Grand Junction, the boys were tired and slept almost the whole way. We stopped in Grand Junction and got Chicago style pizza for dinner; it was so good. Feeling quite satisfied, we drove the last 20 minutes to our campsite. The office was closed when we got there, but they had left us a note. We set up the trailer and had a movie night before going to bed.
