I made sweet rolls three times at work this week. Each batch made about 120 rolls so I was rather tired of making them by the time I was all done. But, apparently, I was also inspired because I came home yesterday and mixed up these Caramel Pecan Rolls.
We baked them for breakfast this morning and they were pretty good. I appreciated that they weren't too sweet or rich, although of course they were both. The problem was that the caramel sauce was the consistency of taffy, which made it sticky and chewy. Overall, I was satisfied with how the recipe turned out, but probably won't make them again.
