We spent the day in Boston Wednesday. It was drizzly and overcast all day, but not cold so we had a good time walking around exploring the city. Our first stop was the USS Constitution. We weren't planning to go on the ship, we were just looking for a map and bathroom at the visitor center, but since we were there, we decided to take the short tour.
There were lots of canons on the middle deck.
And more up top. The Constitution is the only remaining ship of the first six frigates built when the United States formed its navy.
Next, we followed the Freedom Trail to the Bunker Hill monument and climbed the 294 stairs to the top to be rewarded with this view of the city.
We took the subway to visit the Basilica in Boston. It was a cool looking church with grand architecture.
By this time we were quite hungry. So we got a late lunch in Chinatown, followed by gelato in the Italian area of Boston.
We returned to the Freedom Trail and walked past Paul Revere's house to the Old North Church. This garden was in the courtyard area behind the church; it's supposed to be similar to a garden of the time.
As we headed back to our van, we walked along the harbor for a little way. Although the weather was less than perfect for seeing the sights, we enjoyed the day.

Last time we were on the Constitution Heather didn't feel good because she was preggo with Evan!!
