For Micah's birthday this year, we took him out to dinner to eat mussels, something all three of us greatly enjoy. Joshua made arrangements beforehand with a local restaurant and we went the day after Micah's birthday. It was a great meal. First they brought us bread, then we had our steamed mussels and clams, which were delicious and liked by all, then we had a bacon, pepperoni, and sausage pizza, and we finished it all off with a brownie sundae. All the food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we had fun drawing on the tablecloth (which was paper, they provided crayons).
It was around 6:30pm when we finished dinner and we were having such a good time that we decided to go to Petco and look at the animals. They had lots of cool fish in particular. It was a great evening. I think Micah had a good time and I know I did. It's always so fun to get to hang out with the kids one at a time (and all together of course, it's just more unusual to get one alone). Micah is now a big seven year-old. By the way, this picture is the biggest smile he can make because he is so excited about mussels.
